Theme versus layout

A layout positions elements. A theme defines visual styling. A photograph from a graphics pack is an optional additional layer, not a replacement for the underlying theme CSS design.

Selecting compatible themes

Use Select Theme to compare color, readability, decorative accents, and placement of interactive elements. The best choice should remain legible even when a photograph is added.

Preserve design identity

Individual themes may use custom fonts, gradients, borders, badges, pseudo-elements, and featured-list treatments. Global CSS overrides can unintentionally erase those distinctions. For design corrections, prefer the specific theme stylesheet.

Background overlays

Graphics-pack photographs can receive a subtle black overlay (10% black opacity / 90% transparency in the reviewed implementation). This layer darkens a photograph slightly; it does not alter the image file.
